Let's recap: In 2023, Ice Spice snagged a Grammy nomination, teamed up with Taylor Swift, and even landed on the hottest soundtrack of the year. And now, this is her follow-up move?
Maybe the only thing that could save this track is RIOT's infectious beats. I swear, no rapper in the last 50 years of Hip Hop has been carried by beats more than Ice Spice. RIOT's back must be sore.
Last year, Ice Spice's team played all the right cards, pulled the correct strings, and called in big favors. But this year? I think people are expecting more. They want to see growth and improvement, something that elevates her game. Otherwise, she'll remain the "Princess of Rap" solely to those boys who run around the internet living vicariously through these rap girls and no one else.
