Cardi B was recently spotted out and about in New York City with her son Wave and former publicist and creative director Patientce Foster. The two were seen walking together, sparking rumors of a reconciliation just in time for the highly-anticipated MET Gala on Monday.
This sighting is particularly interesting, considering the rumors that Cardi B had fired Foster as her publicist over her making unauthorized "money moves." But, also, remember Patientce had been promoted to Creative Director on "WAP," but Cardi B was taking all the credit for that shoot. In a 2021 interview with Ebony Magazine, while speaking on why she dropped Cardi B as a client, Patientce stated, "it's difficult to accept that all of my invested time and energy, personal and professional sacrifices, resulted in no real equity or ownership."
So was it money or egos clashing?
However, any tension between the two may have been resolved, as they looked like "tag team back again" on Friday in New York. While it's unclear whether Foster will be working with Cardi again, her presence ahead of the MET Gala is definitely noteworthy. The MET Gala is one of the biggest events in the fashion industry, and Cardi wants to be considered a fashion girl. So Foster's expertise could come in handy as Cardi prepares for the event.
I think Patientce is definitely needed for the rollout of Cardi B's long-delayed sophomore album.
