Coi Leray Is Back With New Single "Bops"

Coi Leray has just released her new single, "Bops," marking her return to music after a failed attempt to get promotion from Latto's latest single, "Put It On Da Floor." The song, produced by Johnny Goldstein, is the first of two singles Coi plans to release this week. Goldstein is also behind Coi's top 10 hit song "Players."

On "Bops," Coi showcases she is more than a melodic mommy with a series of confident bars:

"They tryna throw rocks (Uh)

They think that it's hopscotch (Ah)

I pull up, the show stops (Uh)

They eyein' like cyclops (What else?)

And these bitches are mad; they blame it on TikTok (Vroom)

And these bitches mad I got all of these big bops, hold on (Haha)."

This song sounds like the Neptunes with 2 cups of Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack" and a dash of LL Cool J's "Jingling Baby." In other words, I like it. "Bops" is out now, and her other single, "My Body," drops tonight.

Sidenote: I like the idea of artists releasing two singles simultaneously if they plan to work the songs. If it's singles just for fans to mass buy for the first week, stick to one song.

I figured out the song she is interpolating at least in her rap style. It is Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz's "Uproar." Someone posted her performing it at a festival, and I just started rapping this.

Speak, Heart, Share...Thanks!
