I TOLD YOU!
On Friday, December 23, 2022, at 3:15 PM, a Los Angeles jury found Daystar Peterson known as Tory Lanez, GUILTY on all 3 counts of shooting Megan Thee Stallion, possession of an unregistered firearm in a vehicle and negligent discharge of a firearm.
After 2 exhausting years of Tory Lanez dragging out his trial date while he publicly antagonized and gaslit Megan, it took the jury less than 24 hours to unanimously come to this decision.
This GUILTY verdict came as no surprise if you opted to follow seasoned court reporters over "tea" blogs
for court updates. Despite what "new media" would have you believe, the evidence has always been on the prosecution's side, which had a combination of witnesses, GSR, text message apologies, and a narrative that was easy to follow and reasonable.
While on the other hand, the defense struggled to remember they named Kelsey Harris as the shooter in their opening. Instead of building upon that theory, Tory's side argued to the jury, made up of mostly women, that Megan Thee Stallion being shot is not more important than her lying to Gayle King about sleeping with Tory Lanez. The jury clearly understood why it took an oath + a Bible for Megan Thee Stallion to admit to that and rejected any attempts to put her sex life on trial.
Megan was not hiding her sex life from the world; she was hiding the world from her sex life.
So now that Tory Lanez has been convicted and spent Christmas at Los Angeles Men's Central Jail learning how to conserve toilet paper is this what justice looks like for Megan Thee Stallion?
FCK YOU + JUSTICE
Megan Thee Stallion has been silent since the verdict. There has been no public celebration, statements about jUsTicE bEiNg sErVeD, or even an emoji to acknowledge the moment. Instead, the girl once known as the life of the party is allowing people to celebrate without her. It is as if a GUILTY verdict and those #JusticeForMegan hashtags don't quite make up for what she has endured over the past two and a half years.
Megan's silence could be as symbolic as her bold purple court outfit that represented domestic violence awareness. Meg's silence could be for the so-called activists who often jump to defend men like Charlamagne and Joe Budden but bit their tongues when it came to her because she did not pass the "perfect victim" test. They forget how to use Twitter because protecting Megan doesn't come with promises of book and podcast deals.
OR
Megan's silence is simply mimicking Black journalists who offered no pushback to the low comprehension celebrity-thirsty bloggers who turned themselves into Tory Lanez propaganda machines in attempts to
sway public opinion on a CRIMINAL case. Those Black writers are now providing thought-provoking articles about the biased reporting and attacks on Meg, but those pieces are 2 years and a guilty verdict too late. What comfort can Meg, who has already been mentally beaten down, get from them now?
So, I understand Megan Thee Stallion's silent treatment. The woman who was bullied into identifying her
shooter and then abandoned while her male peers tormented her for doing so doesn't owe us shit. She took the arrows by herself, so this victory is all hers and hers alone.
However, while Tory Lanez was the one found guilty, he shares that verdict with many. That Scarlet Letter "G" for GUILTY goes to "new media," who proved to be amateurs and too dumb to realize how much they embarrassed themselves. It is also a stain on those male rappers who tried to "humble" and make Megan feel unsafe by publicly humiliating her and supporting Tory Lanez.
Now that Megan has been fully vindicated, those who tried to play in her face must deal with a woman who has gained significant social/ cultural capital. How she chooses to use it will be very interesting.
So, what does JUSTICE look like for Megan Thee Stallion? I can't speak for her, but hopefully, it includes lawsuits and her using her Netflix deal to tell her own story in the way she wants. Until then...

They have made it known they don't outright support Torys music and they took the case personal and as a win/lose for black men's warped sense of power over women.
All I can say is that Megan now officially has the power to sue. Anything outside of an opinion and directly discredits the verdict, victim or evidence presented is a lawsuit. Laughing at 50 and several others thinking they can't go in twitters database and find those deleted tweets.
I seen Joe Budden talking bout he doesn’t think Megan’s career will survive after this and that the fact that she’s been silent since the verdict “says a lot”…. He really hates Megan
Drake longtime producer, Noah "40" Shebib, showing love to Megan 2 days before the verdict. Um...I hope he don't think he can speak for Drake.
I was done when The Young Turks Networks put DJ Akademiks, Milagro , Joe Budden, Drake, No Jumper/Adam 22 , Lawyers for Workers, 50 Cent and Nicki Minaj on blast on TV. They had a video of Milagro making fun of Megan crying in the ambulance, a tweets from Nicki and 50, Lyrics from Drake, Joe Budden videos. I was like Wow. 😮😮😮
She'll be fully vindicated once Carl is out the way....cause he was banking on her loosing this case.
