FIRST IMPRESSION: SUGA

I am so fck'n proud of Megan Thee Stallion. My first impression of #Suga is that it is what a female rap album needs to be in 2020. This is the no payola needed album. No fake reviews needed album. I am kinda happy she was forced to put out a shorter version of this project because all the songs on Suga are solid. Even B.I.T.C.H. hits different when you listen to it on a project.

TRACKLIST:

1. AIN'T EQUAL - Produced by Helluva Beats

This song made me play it back before I moved to song 2.

"Trust me, you ain't scarin' me, bitch, I ain't intimidated (Hell nah) I ain't gon' argue with no ho who just a fan of me (A fan) You taking shots at a bitch that'll never care (Bah-bah-bah) How it's on sight and I don't never see you nowhere? (Bitch)"

2. SAVAGE - Produced by J. White Did It

This is another song that just makes me feel like don't start none, won't be none.

"I'm the hood Mona Lisa, break a nigga into pieces Had to X some cheesy niggas out my circle like a pizza (Yeah)"

3. CAPTAIN HOOK - Produced by LilJuMadeDaBeat

This song made do the stank face....Wheeew!

"I love niggas with conversation that find the clit with no navigation Mandatory that I get the head, but no guarantees on the penetration (Huh) I be texting with a bi chick, we both freaky, just trying shit (Mwah) Main nigga getting super jealous, he don't even know about the other fellas"

4. HIT MY PHONE (FT. KEHLANI) - Produced by Dj Swish & Andrew "Pop" Wansel

This song made me put on my roller skates. The people walking on the sidewalks better watch the fck

when I come rolling through. Roll Bounce on that ass.

"Posted, toasted, hangin' at the back Made money all year, make a toast with the yak Window to the wall, throw it back, throw it back And if I leave with him, he gon' eat it for a fact"

5. B.I.T.C.H. - Produced by Helluva Beats

This is paying homage to 2 Pac...nuff said. I love the video.

6. RICH- Produced by TBhits

This is the track that gets my neck going.

"I get real money, big rolls, no tummy (Huh) Buy it off the mannequin, I go real dummy (Yes)"

7. STOP PLAYING (FEAT. GUNNA) Produced by The Neptunes

Y'all know I am not a fan of autotune. So, I was put off at first, but as you listen it's cool. It's mood music.

"Ayy, you bitches is weird, I don't wanna hang Way that he talkin', I'm knowin' he lame Look at my watch, look at my ring You know how I'm comin', bitch, stop playin"

8. CRYING IN THE CAR - Produced by The Neptunes

Megan took us to church on this song. I wish the autotune was not there or turned down. I like raw vocals on songs like this. This is a great song. The Neptunes came through with the beat.

"Please don't give up on me, Lord, Lord Promise to keep goin' hard, hard All of them nights that I cried in the car All them tears turned into ice on my arms Please don't give up on me, Lord, Lord"

9. WHAT I NEED - Produced by J Tabb and Timbaland

This will be my sing in the shower song, "You know what I neeeed"

"I know I sent a couple crazy texts, but I ain't mean that Said you was my nigga, so you gon' forever be that"

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVE SONGS OFF THE EP?

After sitting down a listening to it from start to finish, she really did well on this album. She introduced her alter ego. She's expressing her strength and confidence in my opinion. It's just a shame that there is a smear campaign going on that's may affect her album just like people did when Nicki Minaj's Queen album came out. Nicki's album was great but the hate train clouded it just like what's happening now with Suga.

Hey Kimro!

I wish Megan had done the melodic songs the way she did on Cognac Queen, but the songs are still good. Y'all know me and too much autotune lol.

I am kinda over her and Juicy J working together. I am so glad he was not on this EP. I like the producers she worked with. I am happy with this album. I was expecting less, so I'm too hyped about what she gave us. Megan really came through.

I fell asleep and just now waking up. So this is the first thing I'm doing. So far captain hook, savage, ain't equal is my top 3. The last 2 songs we grooving lol. I've said this before but I'm really of fan of Meg and the melodic rapping, idk y but I love it. Cognac Queen, best you ever had and big drank are my shit. I'll give it 7/10 because I could go for another 2 or 3 songs maybe some juicy j tracks.
