AMERICA HAS A MUTHAFCK'N PROBLEM when you get Queen Bey teaming up with King Kendrick on a track. In 2016, they offered us "Freedom," yesterday, it was nothing but problems, but in the best way when Beyonce surprised fans with an "America Has A Problem" Remix featuring Kendrick Lamar.
Kendrick slid on a track I did not believe needed a remix until I heard this remix or extended mix. Whatever we are calling these different versions of songs today. Kendrick Lamar - "Kendricking" his ass off as he flips between various flows in the intro is my favorite thing of 2023 so far.
Truthfully, I be lying in my rap songs
Cause I always fail to mention I'll slap homie
His career didn't come wit no life insurance
Hope his day-one fans got some facts on him
Starting a verse by telling listeners you lie in your rap songs and then following it up with how you will slap "homie." Is so Gemini-ish. It leaves fans wondering if Kendrick is lying about "slapping homie" and if "homie" Drake. We all know the two rappers have a long rivalry and are not afraid to take shots at each other. But, also, many people decided to talk out the sides of their necks after "Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers" dropped so it could be someone else. So let the Twitter debates begin.
But Kendrick Lamar did not just direct a verse at your favorite rapper but also at the AI rapping phenomenon:
The double entendre, the encore remnants
I bop like tin men; the opps need ten men
Overall, Kendrick elevated a song that was already flawless in my eyes. I STAN! I will listen to this over the original version, which cannot be said for other "remixes."
