Well, well, well...multiple media outlets are reporting that Lil Uzi Vert has struck a plea with the Los Angeles D.A. in the felony assault case he caught last year involving ex-girlfriend Brittany Byrd and rapper/singer Saint JHN.
Hold up, wait a minute...when was he even charged? Lil Uzi Vert got the best PR team in the business for this to go under the radar. I never heard of an arrest or charges, just Byrd claiming she went to the police.
To refresh y'all memories, in July 2021, Lil Uzi Vert allegedly...well, I guess it's not allegedly anymore; showed up at a cafe in West Hollywood where Brittany Byrd, Saint JHN, and others were having a business meeting. He jumped out of his Cadillac Escalade and confronted the two at their table.
I need to know how he even knew where they were at.
Anyways, Lil Uzi Vert threw a punch at Saint JHN, missed, and then fell down to the ground. That is when his gun came rolling out of wherever he had it hidden. When Brittany approached Lil Uzi, he allegedly pointed the gun at her stomach and punched her.
An investigation was conducted, and Lil Uzi Vert was charged with felony assault with a firearm (that sounds familiar), criminal threats, domestic violence, and a misd. for carrying a loaded firearm.
To avoid jail time, Lil Uzi took a plea deal where he pleaded no contest to felony assault with a firearm and misdemeanor injury to a girlfriend, which means he doesn't admit guilt and does not dispute the charges against him.
According to TMuthafciknZ, Lil Uzi Vert was sentenced to "3 years of formal probation, 1 year of treatment for mental health and substance abuse, 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling, restitution, and a 10-year criminal protective order."
Another short man pointing a gun at a woman. I guess she is lucky that he didn't try shooting her feet off.
Well, this is definitely the year of the arrests, trials, plea deals when it comes to rappers.
