It's Texas season...
With the success of Lizzo and Beyonce's albums, it is now Megan Thee Stallion's turn to see if she can duplicate their success and give us the Houston trilogy we all deserve. So, the rollout continues...
Yesterday, Megan reminded naysayers she is Hollywood's daughter, and even with three Grammy wins under her belt, she ain't too "spooked and nervous" to show up to radio stations and drop a freestyle.
Today, Meg got muthafckaz whining like mini Kelis's after she released a video teaser and photos for her upcoming album "Traumazine."
In the video clip, Megan walks into a funeral wearing all black and placing a single black rose on a coffin. The camera then flashes to her exiting wearing all white with a dramatically huge church hat.
I took this as Megan burying her old self and emerging as a new woman - The Ressurection.
YES, YES, MUTHAFCKN, YES!
When it came to visuals, I prayed Megan would lean more into her movie-buff / sexy anime-blerd self, and my prayers are being answered. I love what I am seeing so far. I am a fan of the more cinematic music videos, and I feel that is where Megan shines her best.
So, yes, to the film/anime references. Yes, to the muthafck'n storytelling. Yes, to the easter egg hunts.
Yes, Yes, Muthafck'n Yes!
Speak, Heart, Share...Thanks!
Law Roach Styled Megan 🙌🏾
I hope people understand that an album where a rapper opens up more does not mean it won't have no club bangers. Eve had "Love Is Blind" and "Gotta Man" on the same album.
I'm ready for the track list. Considering the journalist at Rollingstone already confirmed this project IS more personal...I'm intrigued and ready to accept whatever was on her heart to tell us.
