Megan Thee Stallion joins two rap legends, Lauryn Hill and Nicki Minaj, in becoming the third female rapper to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her song "WAP." People always trying to dictate the company that Megan keeps, well I doubt anyone has any problems with this.
In addition to that achievement, Megan ties Ariana Grande as the woman with the most #1 songs on Rolling Stone's Top 100 with her third. This will be her first #1 debut on these charts too.
I think people forget that Megan Thee Stallion is doing all of this not signed to a major label and before she drops her debut album. Lauryn Hill set the bar high, Nicki Minaj raised it, and now Megan Thee Stallion is lifting it higher. I see why the girls are mad.

For yall who are saying Megan is a "one trick pony", are the ones that only listen to singles and not ep/album cuts. On Suga Megan has 6/9 songs (7 if technical) that has nothing to do with "sex". This 75% of the ep. What I can say is every feature she has done, she has outrapped the lead artist. Tbh I'm where I only listen to her verse on a song, as I am with Nicki.

Titi, No one said that Megan is on the level of any of the two. She is paving a road that those two started for her. All I was saying, you can choose to comprehend or not, is that girls after Megan can't make excuses of not being signed to a major label or not having a debut album. So, she is doing something different and great that the girls AFTER her can strive for.
