Nicki Minaj Goes "Bang, Bang" On Jessie J After Glamour Magazine Interview (UPDATED)

UPDATED: 8/6 at 5:42 PM PST

Jessie J addresses Nicki Minaj after last night's drama.

BANG, BANG...7 YEARS LATER

While Lauryn Hill is trending for lyrically outshining Nas, Nicki Minaj is trending for her Twitter fingers. It seems the Queen from Queens took offense to an interview Jessie J did with Glamour Magazine where she recalls how their hit song "Bang, Bang" came to be.

Jessie J said, "Nicki was played it in the studio and was like, "I've got to jump on this." We didn't go to her and ask; she wanted to do it. I'll never forget: I was in my bedroom in my flat in London, and I got sent the version with Nicki on it. I just sat at the end of my bed holding my phone, staring at the floor, going, "How the fuck did I land this?" I literally felt like I'd won a competition."

Nicki then took to Twitter to say, "Babe @JessieJ I didn’t hear the song & ask 2get on it. The label asked me2get on it & paid me. How would I have heard the song? chiiille what am I the damn song monitor? Snoopin around for songs chile? This was said by another artist recently as well. Yall gotta stop LoveU."

WHO GIVES AF...YOU DO

😂😂😂😂...Nicki is wild'n...

First, let's acknowledge how Nicki has gone from being a grammar snob to writing like Maliibu Miitch. I'm reading her tweets, wondering if someone else is typing for Nicki🤔.

Now, I had to read the article and Nicki's response 3 times and still did not understand why Nicki came at Jessie J in the manner that she did. The reply did not match the energy of the article. Jessie never said that

Nicki was not paid or "begged" to be on the song as some are interpreting it. Instead, Jessie said the song was played for Nicki in the studio and that she had to jump on it. Is that negative????

After reading through Twitter reactions, I guess there is this growing perception that Nicki Minaj is begging to be put on hot songs. We all remember the Ella Mai fiasco. So, this article may have triggered Nicki after reading Jessie say she did not ask Nicki to be on "Bang, Bang." But, again, I think Nicki's response has more to do with what is currently being said about her vs. what Jessie J said because Jessie made it clear that she was very thankful for Nicki's inclusion on the song.

Also, I want to speak on Nicki's response to a fan, "Who gives AF. I can’t believe I used to care what ppl thought/said about me chile yall b sounding so scary. U ok babe ?

When did Nicki Minaj ever care about what others thought/said? Her not caring about others' thoughts is why many rumors and slanderous statements turned into facts and truths. Her not caring about others is why she had no one to defend her during her blackballing. She always had that don't GAF attitude.

This new Nicki that she claims doesn't GAF actually gives too much of a fuck about the WRONG SHIT. It shows on every IG Live and in last night's tweets. She ain't fool'n me.

Who cares? Everyone has an opportunity to correct misinformation. I've seen countless celebrities do it. But what I don't see are people complaining about them clearing things up, but she gets back lash for correcting the story? That's dumb.

She is getting backlash because no one understands what she is clearing up, LOL. Her trying to clear up a narrative that only exist in the "kingdom" does not make sense in the real world.

Oh, I forgot to ask. Who was that other artists who allegedly accused Nicki of "begging?"

She’s probably referring to when Doja did an interview where she failed to mention, like Jessie J…that her label was the one who sent the request in for Nicki to be on the song. Which doesn’t help this narrative that Nicki only hops on what’s hot as if she’s the one asking to be on these other artist songs.

Nicki cleared this up on her Twitter also, but I guess because it didn’t involve some poor little happ-go-lucky white girl who could do no wrong nobody cared or made it a big deal.
