Last year, Nicki Minaj made headlines when she pouted about American Vogue never putting her (and Lil Kim) on the cover of their magazine during her one-on-one interview with Joe Budden.
Fast forward to today, Nov. 9th, Twitter is being plastered with Nicki Minaj on the cover of Vogue US with the cover story titled The Art of Being Nicki Minaj. Nicki got her wish, or should I say her way, so why does she look so blah, sad, and downright bored in her much-sought-after American Vogue cover issue?

What is going on in the above photos? Can someone call Tyra Banks to give Nicki Minaj lessons on how to SMIZE? Nicki's eyes look so blank and lifeless. Nicki's oversized suit is giving more in these photos than she is. Pictures like these make you miss her old black and white photoshoots, such as her 2014 L'UOMO Vogue cover, when she and the camera were best friends.

For someone constantly trying to sell how happy she is in interviews, her face always tells on her, and comparing her old photoshoots to the ones she has done in the past 4 years shows the stark contrast and her growing loss of confidence.
GRINCH MINAJ
Next, Vogue decides to prepare for Christmas and dress Nicki Minaj up in a red Ferragamo sweater and briefs, with a Grinch green background to match her facial expression. At least in these photos, her face is giving a little bit. It's too bad that little is "I'm upset, I'm in a bad mood, I'd rather be at home posting GIFs."
Besides Nicki giving bitchy Nicki per usual, this look is blah. What is going on? Why would anyone return to view these photos?

FROZEN IN TIME
You would think the photo with Papa Bear would invoke some emotional response, but it did nothing. All three images give off Ice Queen vibes; they are very cold. I need to put on a jacket just looking at them.
To bring it back to Nicki Minaj's interview with Joe Budden, to whine the way she did over wanting this cover and feeling disrespected because she views herself as a fashion trendsetter to only turn around and deliver these photos is one of the many reasons I can no longer take Nicki Minaj seriously. There is not one photo that is conversation-worthy.
Nicki Minaj has become the most boring female rapper in Hip Hop.

Nicki Minaj looked very pretty and graceful in the magazine. How can you tell if someone feels less confident by a picture? You don't know her, nor do you know her feelings. That picture with papa bear is stunning, he was moving a lot, playing a lot, NICKI words, she was tired. She looked beautiful, she looked graceful, let's take cardi b for an example right? when she did her vogue shoot, how did u think about that? Like im tired of people who has nothing nice to say about something so beautiful. And DON'T try to make this a "Stan" comment. it's the truth, whether she wanted to be serious in her pictures or not.
