Legendary group Full Force sat down with The Breakfast Club to speak about their production catalog, House Party, and how they were the first to bring the world rap legend, Nicki Minaj. Bowlegged Lou explained how his son, Lou$tar, put together a rap group called the Hood$stars. The group consisted of members Lou$tar, Nicki Minaj, 7even Up, and Safaree. After his son told him how dope Nicki was, he went to meet Nicki at a Brooklyn studio where she rapped and sang a gospel song for him. He said Nicki was doing the crazy voices back then.

While shopping the group to Warner Music, they met with Kevin Liles and Jean Nelson. Bowlegged Lou said they liked Nicki, but Jean wanted Juelz Santana to ghostwrite for her. As you can see, she never signed with Warner Music (Atlantic's parent company). The rest is history.

Can y'all imagine Nicki sounding like Juelz Santana?

Hhmmm it feel like they all just take turns tag teaming her. Smh. I have to take breaks from social media because I don’t care how rich or famous she is I hate to see people get bullied !!! It’s so negative!! And with the way social media is it feel like it’s happening right in front of me. Like I’m in school watching

@Chloe, it's weird because the people who were around as Nicki came up always kinda back off right after something bad happens to her. The Youtubers/new media don't, but ones that know the work Nicki put in wait til they try to trash her again.

It's interesting that Jean Nelson was A&R at Atlantic. He probably has so many old friends there. "Had to cut the grass, there were snakes in the camp".
