Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj's "Princess Diana" Remix debuted on Billboard's Hot 100 chart at an impressive #4, marking a significant achievement for both artists. However, this moment of celebration has been dampened by allegations of attempts to buy a #1 spot.
According to multiple reports, the "Princess Diana" producer, RiotUSA, was caught offering money to fans to purchase the $1.29 single. This blatant attempt at chart manipulation is not the first time a Nicki Minaj single has been embroiled in such controversy, but it is undoubtedly the most obvious. It raises questions about the integrity of all these iTunes and Digital Sales records that Nicki Minaj supposedly owns and the lengths she is willing to go to tie or pass Cardi B's record for most #1 Billboard Hot 100 hits.

Nicki Minaj's obsession with beating Cardi B's Billboard record for number one songs. That is why she is temporarily befriending these artists to do these collaborations in the hope of getting a quick hit.
Moreover, many of Nicki Minaj's "top-charting" collaborations are often followed by an embarrassing freefall like with "Trollz" (#1 to #34), "DWHAP" (#2 to #32), "Move Ya Hips" (#19 to #99), "Blick Blick" (#37 to #87) and more. This heightens suspicion around chart manipulation talk, with so many songs having double-digit drops in their second week.
Y'all know how I feel about this chart shit. It has gotten out of control; however, if you are one of the girls who always has something to say about other girls' numbers and encourages your fans to do the same, you and the people around you cannot be reckless, or people are going to talk.
As I have said before, manipulation is occurring in streaming, on "pure sales," and radio. But, what do y 'all think about being so open with it and then talking shit to other female rappers about numbers?
