REMY MA GOES LEFT ON STATE OF THE CULTURE

Remy Ma always finds a way to lose me. First, I did not appreciate her let'n out her inner "Pick Me" bitch by trying to present women as problematic. Second, she said, "I'm too real. Even if I don't like you and I think you can sing, or I think you can rap, or I think you have talent Imma say that." So, being "too real" is refusing to answer a simple question? See, this is the sh*t that bothers me with female rappers as a whole. There is a tendency for them to only want to give props to female rappers who are their friends, retired, or overseas. Otherwise, it's like pulling teeth with these girls. But, one would think that Remy, who claims to have opened doors for all these new girls, would have no problem let'n us know which one of her sons is pushing their pen. Instead, she encouraged this narrative that you have to be cautious about giving women compliments. Doesn't that sound like dusty nigga rhetoric?

Today on State Of The Culture, Joe Budden and his Pips did a segment called "Goin Left Real Quick." This is where one host has to answer any question asked of them. Well, it was Remy's day for them to "go left" on. So, she was asked about female rap. Remy spoke about the unfair treatment female rappers get compared to their male counterparts and ended by saying,

"With us, we get a lot more critique, and it doesn't help that...I feel like a lot of female rappers are not taken seriously. I can probably count on my hand the girls that regardless of what they actually rap about, the songs they put out, that pen really move and if they wanted to, they could stand toe to toe with the guys."

Excellent response by Remy, but you know she had to go left. After her answer, Jinx said he wanted to know who those girls were. She replied, "I would like to do it, but then I would have to...you gotta be careful when you give compliments to females." Oh, brotha!

ANSWER THE FCK'N QUESTION, REMY!

Remy Ma always finds a way to lose me. First, I did not appreciate her let'n out her inner "Pick Me" bitch by trying to present women as problematic. Second, she said, "I'm too real. Even if I don't like you and I

think you can sing, or I think you can rap, or I think you have talent Imma say that." So, being "too real" is refusing to answer a simple question?

See, this is what I was talking about in my previous post about Remy Ma. She wants to do "pretty bitch" rap with an ugly attitude. I don't know if the girls did not return her calls to be featured on her new album. But if she does not drop this sour puss attitude, I am predicting Lil Kym numbers.

Who are the girls that y'all think Remy Ma likes or was she really only referring to herself?

Any album sales predictions?

I don't think Remy is talking about Nicki Minaj because it's not a shocker that Nicki can go toe to toe with the guys. However, I do think this is a continuation of Remy's comment about understanding why Nicki does not fck with some of these girls. Remy is really bitter over something or someone and it's not about Nicki for once.

I was going to mention this in the post but I did not want Nicki's name to distract from my point. But, since Nicki's name is being brought up I will say this. When Nicki shows love to a female rapper, I have seen a pattern of other girls acting out against Nicki. This is not out of…

She doesn’t want to say because then she is backtracking on the “Nicki doesn’t write” claims she put in shether. Only people I think she could be talking about is Nicki and meg. Other than that and other young girl would be like her giving a co-sign and I don’t see anything wrong with her doing that. It would make her look good. And I think she is talking about cardi when she said the ones who don’t write know it and that’s why they don’t say anything

I'm so over Remy an her antics like gurlll no one cares about yo opinion at this point ur a sell out u was willing to tear a black woman down and have the industry shit all over Nicki just for a some piece of change and AK because u was jealous of her movement u couldn't just be happy that a black woman is opening doors and winning in life by working hard and demanding respect and now allowing the industry to make her a pass around industry hoe like ur best friends u rode hard for Naw Remy u ain't real u faker than a three dollar bill and I don't respect Remy for that she sold out…

You are absolutely correct, Remy ma is nothing but a clown and for that I can’t respect her. Why speak on something you can’t stand on, Remy just wanted to sound smart by repeating shit that has already been said by others which does not include her. I just don’t care for this “female rap unity” wave it ain’t nothing but a damm fluke. Why can’t you just name the girls you are talking about if your so for the women. This is why I don’t like to hear shit from the veterans. These same women who peach the whole women empowerment speeches are the ones who have failed women in hip-hop. From the lack of advice, to beefing, t…
