Everything old is new again...
Tommy Hilfiger launched his new campaign honoring the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop by tapping GloRilla and London rapper Central Cee to be the faces of his new Tommy Jeans Remastered collection. This collection revives iconic styles that gained popularity in the '90s, thanks to legendary rappers, and gives them a modern twist by featuring today's hip-hop artists.
Tommy Hilfiger released a statement, remarking, "An iconic anniversary calls for an iconic capsule. With this collection, we celebrate moments in style that defined the '90s hip-hop look and rework them for today. I am so excited to work with Central Cee and GloRilla — two modern icons who are bringing the culture's fearless creativity to the next generation."
The clothing line comprises 17 pieces, featuring '90s-style baggy jeans and a 'Big Logo' puffer, a nod to Aaliyah and Raekwon. Unlike the traditional Tommy colors, this puffer will be black and gray. In the ad, GloRilla is seen wearing a striped rugby polo that Snoop Dogg made famous during his 1994 Saturday Night Live performance. The collection also includes a cropped leather biker jacket reminiscent of the iconic style of TLC.
GloRilla has previously collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger. Earlier this year, the Memphis rapper served as the face of Tommy Jeans' collaboration with the luxury streetwear brand Aries.
The Tommy Jeans Remastered collection was released on November 6th. Are ya'll wearing this "remastered" Hilfiger?
